Taptic Engine on iPod: what it is and when it fits
The Taptic Engine mod adds a small haptic module inside the iPod. When you use the controls, it provides short tactile vibration feedback: one more physical detail without changing Apple software or your music.

What changes
- Tactile feedback: a short vibration accompanies use of the controls.
- Internal modification: it does not change the outside of the iPod, but it needs room inside.
- Workshop installation: we fit and test it during assembly or repair.
Required compatibility
- SSD or iFlash storage.
- A 2000 mAh battery.
- A Thick back housing.
- A 3000 mAh battery is not compatible with this mod.
Price
The Taptic Engine mod costs €35. It becomes selectable in the configurator only after choosing a compatible combination; for repairs we confirm the same conditions first.
Want to add it?
Choose it at the Mods step in the configurator or in the Mods section of a repair request.
